"If we are to strive as human beings to gain more wisdom, more kindness and more compassion, we must have the intention to grow as a lotus and open each petal one by one. "

Christina Miles, MA, LPC, CAADC

Christina is Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She earned her Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, D.C. and her BS in Psychology from Stevenson University in Maryland.

Her areas of specialization include working with adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, co-occurring disorders and personality disorders. She is trained in E.M.D.R. which is the most researched treatment for trauma and P.T.S.D.

Christina uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with elements from other modalities of therapy to provide the best treatment approach for each individual client. She also incorporates natural and holistic interventions for those seeking an integrative approach.

Christina believes an authentic therapeutic relationship is essential for therapy to be effective. Positive growth and healing occur through a trustworthy and supportive environment. Through this therapeutic relationship, the client is able to uncover their personal strengths which can be hidden or affected by past experiences or inhibited by anxiety and fears.  Her intention for therapy is to assist the client in developing the self-awareness and confidence needed to make the changes they desire so they can grow and blossom.
