Kevin Heller, M.S., LPC, RPTS - Therapist

Kevin is a Play Therapist with the Hershey  Counseling Center.  He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. He earned his B.S. in Behavioral Science from Penn State and his M.S. in Community Counseling from Shippensburg University.
 
He serves children between the ages of 3 and 17 years of age.  He works with a wide range of child, adolescent, and family problems and has 23 years experience with play therapy, parenting skills training, behavior management, and parent-child relationship approaches such as Filial Therapy. Kevin has a large Play Therapy Room fitted with carefully selected therapeutic play materials such as sand trays, paints, puppets and therapy games.
 
Kevin has extensive experience includes working with problems of development, behavior, Asperger’s Syndrome, school problems, anxiety, ADHD, anger management, separation and divorce-related issues, abuse and trauma, adoption issues, and attachment difficulties.
 
He works closely with parents, keeping them informed of the child’s needs and progress and is dedicated to creating an open, collaborative relationship with the families with whom he works.
