Nicole Searfoss is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with the Hershey Counseling Center. Nicole earned her B.A. in Psychology and Family Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park and went on to earn her M.A. in Clinical Community Psychology from Norfolk State University and her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology through the Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology.
Nicole has special interests in the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescent, and families. She has experience working with individuals and families in private practice, community mental health, in-home, and inpatient settings. Nicole has received extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adults and adolescents, Structural Family Therapy, Trauma-focused therapy, Positive Psychology, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for the treatment of anxiety, depression, and attention and mood dysregulation disorders.
In therapy, Nicole views an individual in the context of their family and environment and often incorporates family therapy into her treatment. She comes from a strength-based approach and encourages the development and utilization of healthy coping skills to enhance an individual’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
